Custom Electric, Inc. is an industrial electrical contractor that has been in business since 1984. We are located in Meridian, ID. We serve customers throughout Idaho, and have completed projects throughout the United States including, California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Texas. We hold Idaho State Electrical Contracting and Public Works licenses, and are bonded and insured. We primarily serve the Water and Waste Water Industry – both private and public sector – and we have vast experience in all industrial applications including the following: wood products, mines, natural gas pumping, petroleum product pumping stations, petroleum product additive and loading systems, food processing, car wash, and conveyor systems. Custom Electric has the ability to manage projects from the design phase to start-up and commissioning. We routinely do the electrical installation as well as instrument installation and commissioning, control panel fabrication, and programming for a variety of projects.
Custom Electric has operated a UL508 Industrial Control Panel shop since 1995, and in 2000 began offering UL698 panels. We can assist in any phase of control panel work from design to fabrication to installation and start-up. We can provide any panels required from a simple single motor controller to a large MCC panel with integrated PLC control.
Custom Electric is unique in their ability to provide PLC and HMI programming along with the electrical installation. We have completed many programming projects with a variety of PLC and HMI packages. We frequently use Allen-Bradley and Wonderware products and have experience with Modicon, Omron, PLCDirect, Control MicroSystems, Siemens, and GEFanuc. We work directly with the customer to ensure the programs are tailored to their specific needs while still conforming to industry standards. We specialize in the installation of SCADA systems. Whether the need is for a simple plant SCADA system or a complex system with several remote sites, Custom Electric can get the job done. We have installed several SCADA systems for many municipalities in the Treasure Valley including Boise, Meridian, Garden City, New Plymouth, Kuna, and Weiser. We have installed systems with both licensed and un-licensed radios, as well as fiber optics.
